Sheri Parker

Sheri Parker is a senior at Grand Canyon University where she is working on an English degree with an emphasis in Professional Writing. She is an international student from Canada, where she has already earned a bachelor’s degree in English, and a post-graduate diploma in Social Work.

Sheri has always been drawn to work in the helping field. She has worked as a front line worker at a homeless shelter, as a call centre agent working on the Residential School Settlement in Canada, and as a volunteer at the Toronto Distress Centre.

Her other passions include reading and writing, and it is through all of this that Sheri wanted to get involved in Andy’s Sunshine Foundation. She is a new member of the Sunshine Readers program, and will be sharing the “You Matter” message with two third grade classes at Mountain View Elementary School. She is hoping to contribute her passions and skills to the foundation in any way possible.
