Dear Mrs. Hull,
I was fortunate to be able to listen to you tell your story at NDSU Nursing at Sanford Health where I am a faculty member, NSA adviser and most importantly, a nurse. I wanted to write today and tell you that I was deeply touched by your story of loss and hope and to say thank you for validating for my students the need for compassion, patient advocacy and genuine care for others.
You are right- as nurses we have a unique opportunity to make a difference for others. It is what I love most about the nursing profession. I am so glad to hear that on this journey you have experienced many nurses who have made a difference for you and your family.
Your story is compelling. Thank you so much for sharing. I am certain that you have impacted the way many of my students will care for patients as they begin their careers. You matter!
